In 2010 China overtook the United States and became the world’s largest manufacturer and in the same year China also surpassed Japan and became the world’s second largest economy. China’s incredibly short journey from agricultural and command economy to global superpower status is just the beginning. The coastal areas of China have played a major role in the country’s economic development. It is estimated that over 80% of China’s exports are manufactured in costal China, and that over half of China’s 1.3 billion populations live in these coastal areas.

As we all know, all the exports or imports in every country will have to go through the customs checking, in China, this inspection task is carried out by China Commodity Inspection Bureau (CCIB). For some oversea buyers, they may ask since the CCIB will inspect the goods, then what’s the purpose for a third party inspection, are we wasting our money in nothing? Of course not! Why? Because, in fact, the third party inspection plays a completely different role with the CCIB inspection in export, which can be illustrated briefly as below.
Are you worrying about whether the new supplier you are going to cooperate with is a cheater? Everything might seem to be going on quite well and smoothly from the order confirmation to the shipment. But after you settle the balance payment, the supplier disappears but then you get nothing from them.

If you have ever had the opportunity to negotiate with Chinese suppliers, you would know that the word “impossible” does not exist on this market. It is enough to look around in Chinese streets full of well known trademarks or products that really look like famous brands. So when you think about it, there should be nothing easier than finding a manufacturer who created those.
Everyone in the import/export business is aware of the necessity of quality control. If you are on the import side you need to have your products inspected before shipment to make sure they are in conformance to your standards. If you are on the export side you need to have internal QC check your goods to make sure they pass muster when the buyer sends his inspection team.
With the growing economy and increase of overseas interests in China, competition is forcing companies to attract and keep customers satisfied. Hiring multinational staff, improving customer’s data base, keeping track of valued customers, providing more assistance throughout the orders and making sure the customers interests are being take care of, are a few very important points that we can notice factories are developing day-by-day.
